Spray painted black on both sides
I took my plastic shovel I bought at Dollar Tree and painted it black on both sides. You can use a primer and use acrylic or chalk paint if you prefer. I just chose to use spray paint with a built-in primer.
Next, I took some jute string and wrapped it around the handle and the neck of the shovel for a more rustic, fall feel.
Next I hot glued a block of floral foam onto the shovel to help keep my florals in place.
Now, you are ready for the fun part! It’s time to get your florals gathered and start arranging them onto your shovel. Remember, this can be whatever you want it to be. It can be created for any holiday or an everyday use project for your home. Just have fun with this project! It is a very inexpensive way to create something beautiful.
